With a vision inspired by the sea, La Spezia has applied to become the Italian Capital of Culture 2027 and after being declared among the ten finalists, on February 27th it will be the protagonist of the audition scheduled at the Ministry of Culture, where Mayor Peracchini will have the opportunity to present the dossier “A culture like the sea” and the strategic vision behind the project. The dossier, whose title is not just a metaphor, but a concrete objective for a varied, interconnected and constantly moving culture, based on beauty, sustainability and inclusion.

La Spezia aims to become a great laboratory of cultural innovation, capable of opening new horizons for the city-sea, reinterpreting the past through contemporary tools and offering everyone more direct access to culture. Projects such as the revival of the Gulf Prize for young artists, cultural welfare paths and Amphiorama, a widespread museum that starts from the sea and looks to the future, are just a few examples of this project.

Staying at Downtown Blue Apartment, you can comfortably visit on foot the beautiful city of La Spezia, which is continuously evolving from a tourist and cultural point of view.
